Hi there! I’m Alexandra, a Registered Psychotherapist (MACP, RP)! My mission is to guide individuals in rediscovering their inner light and strength to face life’s challenges. By integrating holistic, strengths-based, and faith-based approaches, I aim to empower clients to transform the things they can control, accept what they cannot, and cultivate the self-awareness to discern the difference.
In my practice, I am committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can express themselves freely and authentically. I am dedicated to breaking the stigma that therapy should be stagnant or intimidating. In my sessions, I incorporate humour, faith, creativity, and physical activities to generate a dynamic therapeutic experience. Together, we’ll create a space where healing and growth are not only possible but also engaging and transformative.
I address a diverse range of concerns, including anxiety, self-esteem, identity, cultural and religious identities, ADHD, athletic challenges, bullying, school-related issues, perfectionism, body image, grief, life transitions, meaning-making, burnout, stress management, and more.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), positive psychology, narrative therapy, Christian counselling, psychodynamic therapy, and existential therapy. This eclectic approach allows me to tailor my methods to each client’s unique needs and preferences.
